I started SensoryBag after having my third child. I remembered going nearly insane at home with my first baby. The days seemed long and it was hard to find activities that we were rewarded to do together when the baby was young. With my third, and after qualifying as a teacher, I realized that I was trying to get a baby to use toys that they weren’t developmentally ready for. Babies need to practice their focus, tracking, hand-eye coordination, sound perception, and learn to enjoy loving touch with their caregivers; building their brain connections through play. Focusing on the items that supported this development and were also just as joy for me and my husband to use led to the development of SensoryBag.
